From Bronx Portfolio to USPS Administrator

With a standing ovation and applause, Wanda Díaz became the first Latin woman to hold the top position in the New York postal service.

With an ear to ear smile, he was sworn in as post office administrator, proving that nothing is impossible.

Wanda Díaz, I said: “That word ‘for’ impossible ‘does not exist, if you want something, work hard and you will get it.”

The emotion was such that when he spoke at the podium, his relatives wiped their tears, for the pride they feel.

Jenet Díaz, Wanda’s sister-in-law said:

“It goes on and on until she gets what she’s looking for, this position she has now, her being a Puerto Rican woman to become a New York postmaster, is incredible.”

Wanda Díaz began her career in the postal service in 1996, delivering letters from house to house in the Bronx, 25 years later she is the big boss of more than 4,000 people who deliver mail in the Big Apple.

In total, Wanda will be responsible for 66 post offices and 55 stores across New York City.

When they called me for the post office, I said this is what I want to do, I want to work with people, be with people, I was proud to handle letters, and now to be in this position I said nothing is impossible, the new USPS administrator stressed.

And who knows, he could even become president of the United States, since former presidents Abraham Lincoln, Harry Truman and William McKinley also held the post of postmaster or administrators of the United States mail.

Analín Pérez, his sister-in-law says:

“It is a pride for the Latins, for the Puerto Ricans, of course it is a great pride that the doors are open, fight, think about your dreams. She has to fight hard and things will happen, and so does Wanda. “

In the month of Latin pride, without a doubt, Wanda Díaz puts us all at the top.
