The measures taken only exacerbated the situation.
Soviet actress Valentina Karavaeva shone in many movie hits of the USSR. She can be seen in the films “Mashenka”, “The Tale of First Love”, “An Ordinary Miracle” in 1964 and in other films. Unfortunately, the charming artist has not retained either her career or her beauty.
Her start in the cinema turned out to be impressive – Karavaeva became famous after her debut work in the film “Mashenka”. Valentina Ivanovna got the main role, for which she received the Stalin Prize.
Everything went like clockwork, but in 1943 the actress survived a terrible accident. Karavaeva was left with a scar that stretched from her ear to her chin. From that moment on, Valentina Ivanovna’s career went downhill. She got only minor roles in the theater.
Once Karavaeva met the British attache George Chapman.
A romance began between them, and the actress was able to obtain permission to marry and emigrate – an unheard of achievement at that time.
Abroad, Valentina Ivanovna turned to the best surgeons to get rid of the scar. She was operated on by specialists from the United States and Switzerland, but even advanced medicine did not save the situation.
Karavaeva’s face became constricted, and her lips looked pouted as after injections. The pretty smiling beauty remained in the distant past.
