San Luis Potosí, SLP (March 16, 2022).-The Faculty of Agronomy and Veterinary Medicine and the Faculty of Chemical Sciences of the Autonomous University of San Luis Potosí, organize the first International Seminar on New Fertilization Strategies for a more Sustainable Agriculture , in order to comply with the 2030 Agenda and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and its 169 goals.
Dr. María Fernanda Quintero Castellanos, coordinator of the Agronomist Engineering in Greenhouse Production career at the Faculty of Agronomy and Veterinary Medicine and responsible for Mexico of the Ibero-American Network of Resilient, Equitable and Sustainable Agriculture (RIARES), said that this seminar, which will be carried out in person and online, has as its main objective international cooperation between international researchers.
It is worth mentioning that the RIARES Network was approved by the Program for the Strengthening of Scientific Systems in Ibero-America (FORCYT), of the Organization of Ibero-American States of the European Union.
Dr. Quintero Castellanos explained that universities and companies from Colombia, Chile, Mexico and Spain participate in the RIARE Network, “and its main objective is to promote international cooperation among researchers from participating institutions, concentrating their efforts to achieve greater impact in the development of sustainable agriculture, with the capacity to face inequalities, the effects of the pandemic and climate change”.
The lectures and presentations at this International Seminar will focus on crop fertilization, covering aspects such as the reduction of consumption, efficiency of use, biofertilizers, nanofertilizers and development stimulants, without excluding other interesting aspects and is developed around to the four axes of Sustainable Development: Economic; Social, Environmental and Cultural.
