De Beren has since grown into a chain of 50 restaurants, dozens of delivery restaurants and 3.5 million meals a year that are served. “Of course we did that together, but in the end you have to take small steps,” says the catering entrepreneur. “You start with a few restaurants and then it’s successful. And as with successful businesses, you expand that. You don’t go from nothing to everything, but if you like something to do, it comes pretty naturally, I would almost say.”
