Friederike Kromp, known for her insightful analysis on ZDF alongside soccer legends Per Mertesacker and Christoph Kramer, is set to take on a new challenge. The 40-year-old will become the head coach of SV Werder Bremen’s women’s team, effective early July.
Werder Bremen Secures Kromp’s Expertise
SV Werder Bremen announced Tuesday that Kromp will succeed Thomas Horsch as head coach.Kromp is currently under contract as the U20 coach for Eintracht Frankfurt until June 30. her transition to Bremen marks her first head coaching role in professional women’s soccer.

Furthermore, she guided the DFB (German Football Association) youth team to a fourth-place finish at the World Cup.
Dual Role: Analyst and Coach
Kromp will continue her role as a ZDF expert, providing analysis during the upcoming Women’s European Championship in Switzerland in July. However, before that, she is scheduled to provide her expertise for ZDF during the DFB-Pokal semi-final match between VfB Stuttgart and RB Leipzig.
