Outside the box

The service, some of whom even comes from Ireland, creates an atmosphere. Fritzpatrick’s offers Irish legends: 400 seats inside, 250 outside, karaoke, burgers, chips, live music (at the weekend) and of course beer: Kilkenny, Guinness, Stowford. There is also a huge selection of whiskeys.
If there were something like an Irish embassy in the Ruhr area, then this Essen legend of Tova and Patrick Hunt would have a good chance of taking the title. Founded in 1996. If they (are allowed) to set up a stage right in front of the pub, then this is usually where things really get going. An estimated 6,000 people recently celebrated at a Rü festival in front of Fritzpatricks. Naturally, the pub is also a hot spot for exuberance on Halloween and St. Patrick’s Day.
Authentic Irish cuisine
But it’s not just Ireland fans who are interested in spirits who visit the restaurant. The menu is widely a rarity with some authentic specialties in the ‘Irish corner’ of the menu. For example “Mrs Fitz’s Homemade Shepherd’s Pie, homemade minced beef casserole with a potato crust, served with brown bread” or “Nora Ita’s Lamb Stew”, a traditional Irish lamb stew, which is also served with the daily homemade Irish bread. The Hunts are proud that the 50-person team consisted of 22 nationalities at the same time. Of course, a few people from Ireland are always active here in a beneficial and loudly humorous way.
