Fritz S. Ahrberg remains managing director at Hildesheim Marketing GmbH

Hildesheim. The current managing director of Hildesheim Marketing GmbH, Fritz S. Ahrberg, was appointed last Saturday [25. November] confirmed in his office by the Supervisory Board. This means that Ahrberg will receive an early contract extension for another five years until 2029.

Fritz S. Ahrberg took over the position of managing director in October 2019 for five years until autumn 2024. The contract extension for a further five years has now been signed by the managing director and the chairwoman of the supervisory board, Dr. Rita Weber, sealed. Fritz S. Ahrberg was pleased and confident about the extension: “I am looking forward to continuing our successful path together with my team. We have a lot planned.” He emphasized the constantly growing challenges, both in tourism and in city and event management: “It remains challenging, but we are well prepared.”

Particularly in the area of ​​tourism, the focus is on making Hildesheim sustainable given the changing travel and booking behavior. “We are already on the right track,” added Ahrberg.

He also emphasized the importance of events for revitalizing the city center: “Our events are an important component of an attractive and livable city center. In a network with many partners, we want and will make our beautiful city fit for the future.”

The extension of the contract underlines the trust in the work to date and the future vision of Fritz S. Ahrberg. The native of Hanover has lived in Hildesheim since 2000. His studies at the University of Hildesheim Foundation brought him to the city. He is now firmly rooted here. He was head of marketing at HAWK University Hildesheim/Holzminden/Göttingen for almost ten years. During this time he was already responsible for many of the university’s public events in the city and its external representation. He then worked as managing director at the health campus in Göttingen, a cooperation between the HAWK and the Göttingen University Medical Center.
