Frightful moments Dutch soprano during attack in Vienna: ‘The entire opera house is surrounded’ | Inland

PARIS / VIENNA – The Dutch opera star, soprano Eva-Maria Westbroek, had frightening hours on Monday evening and night in the Vienna State Opera. She starred in the final performance of the opera Cavaleria Rusticana as the protagonist Santuzza when the terrorist attack on Vienna’s inner city took place. For safety reasons, the entire cast of the opera, together with the audience, had to stay in the building for hours.
