The gravel lake Het Greven in Lanklaar is remarkably quiet on Friday evening. Two friends of Abdulbaki Altuntas (19) sit on a hill and stare out at the water and at the island where their friend died on Thursday evening. “We will never come back here after today,” they say. “It’s way too dangerous here.”
