«Friends»: – Reveals: Relatives

A trip to London should turn out to change “everything” in the friendship between «Monica Geller and Chandler Bing in« Friends ».

While fans believe that the two characters, played by respectively Courteney Cox (56) og Matthew Perry (51), had chemistry long before, however, it was not until in the British capital that the relationship first gained momentum.

A wedding, two children and a house later, today one can only imagine what the life of Monica and Chandler is like, 17 years after the last episode was broadcast on screen.

Through a survey on MyHeritage, the channel has found out that the 56-year-old and her TV husband are eleven siblings, and that both are related to William Osbern Haskel III and Ellen Haskell. The latter couple lived in Britain in the 17th century, according to the report.

Ellen and her two sons emigrated to the United States in 1635, and while Perry’s lineage can be traced back to Ellen’s son William, the latter’s brother Roger is one of Cox’s ancestors.

– We went through this family tree very carefully and checked every single name. We found several points that support it, and we have confidence that they are related, says Roi Mandel, head of MyHeritage to CNN.

Revealed romance

The fact that the “Friends” gang is now reuniting may seem to be helping to reveal both. Because while Cox and Perry are related in real life, Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer, who played Rachel Green and Ross Geller, must have had a romance – also in real life.

It was revealed recently in connection with an interview with the six actors. When the entire “Friends” gang was to nominate “the biggest flirt” among them, everyone in the crew could agree that the series’ turtle doves, Schwimmer and Aniston, should be awarded the honorary title.

When the journalist asked further if there was really a romance going on between the two, Schwimmer quickly answered: “Next question”.

“In the beginning,” Cox quickly interjected, before being interrupted by Aniston, who, like her alleged flirt, replied, “Next question.”

What was actually standing between the two at the beginning of the recording in 1994, is thus not known.
