Bram (18) from ‘t Harde fully enjoys his journey through Peru when disaster strikes. Together with six others – including his buddy Robbin (19) from Nunspeet – the plane in which he is traveling crashes. No one survives the crash. “I take comfort in the fact that he was happy on this journey.”

The doorbell rings. It is Friday night and two police officers are standing in front of their home in the Veluwe village of ‘t Harde. The officers look depressed and bring the news that Thijs van ‘t Hul (48) and his wife Alinda (50) have been fearing for hours. Their son Bram’s name is on the passenger list of the Cessna 207 that crashed in Peru on Friday.
