“Friends” actor dies of cancer

James Michael Tyler, known for having played Gunther in the series, among others Friends, is dead.

The actor announced earlier this year that he had advanced prostate cancer, a secret he had kept for three years, revealed TMZ.

James Michael Tyler was considered by admirers of the series to be the 7^e friend of the gang.

He had appeared in 150 episodes of the series over 10 years, and was 59 at the time of his death.
