The SMI rose by 0.20 percent to 11,896.93 points in SIX trading at 3:40 p.m. The market value of the stocks included is now 1.395 trillion euros. At the start of trading, the price board showed an increase of 0.316 percent to 11,911.22 points, after 11,873.71 points the previous day.
The stock market barometer reached its daily high on Tuesday at 11,933.42 units, while the index recorded its lowest level at 11,800.85 points.
SMI development over the course of the year

Three months ago, on May 13, 2024, the SMI reached 11,768.08 points. A year ago, SIX trading was suspended due to the weekend. The SMI was at 11,081.63 points on the previous trading day, August 11, 2023.
Since the beginning of 2024, the index has already gained 6.51 percent. The SMI has so far recorded an annual high of 12,434.03 points. The annual low, however, is 11,064.90 points.

The strongest individual stocks in the SMI are currently ABB (Asea Brown Boveri) (+ 0.70 percent to 45.83 CHF), Lonza (+ 0.70 percent to 548.80 CHF), Sonova (+ 0.61 percent to 279.80 CHF), UBS (+ 0.48 percent to 24.97 CHF) and Roche (+ 0.36 percent to 278.80 CHF). On the losing side in the SMI, however, are Givaudan (-0.63 percent to 4,111.00 CHF), Holcim (-0.52 percent to 75.88 CHF), Geberit (-0.50 percent to 520.20 CHF), Kühne + Nagel International (-0.39 percent to 252.80 CHF) and Logitech (-0.21 percent to 75.12 CHF).
