ALGARVE- Guinea continued against Gabon this Tuesday in Portugal for its second friendly match during this international break. If they thought they would win and continue after the victory over Guinea-Bissau, the Guineans were caught in the end by the Gabonese with a score of (1-1).
For this meeting, coach Kaba Diawara started the man in form of the moment Serhou Guirassy, who had started to everyone’s surprise on the bench against Guinea-Bissau. And the Guinean striker proved Kaba Diawara right since it was he who opened the scoring for Syli before half-time (1-0, 37th). Unfortunately, the Guineans will slow down in the second half and Gabon will take the opportunity to equalize and the two teams go back to back. It should be noted that Gabon’s goal came from a penalty converted after the hour mark by Moupenda, after a handball in the Guinean area from defender Saidou Sow.
At the end of this international break, with a victory and a draw in two matches, Kaba Diawara’s Syli is now looking ahead to the first two days of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers next November.
