Police arrested Bidjaipersad A. (37) on Sunday in connection with the Dood van Ashna Jagesar (31) in Suriname. He was detained after consultation with the Surinamese Public Prosecution Service.
According to witnesses, the friend took her from work last week and she was not seen since. Ashna’s body was found in a snaffle on Saturday evening in the last side street of the Eureka project (photo below).
It could not be determined whether there was a crime because the corpse was in a distant state of decomposition. The lifeless body has been confiscated for autopsy. The Capital Offenses Department is investigating the case.
