The snow falls over parts of Norway on Friday morning, and some of it ends up on the roads. This can lead to a slightly more challenging traffic picture.
Ole Fredrik Haugen in the State Road Administration in Eastern Norway says that the crews are out to clear the roads of snow.
– It is winter in Norway. The roads are a bit bumpy, but the main roads are paved. There may be more snow on smaller roads, but our crews are out, says Haugen to Dagbladet.
Traffic is currently flowing smoothly just before half past seven on Friday morning, but Haugen makes a request:
– It is wise to set aside a little extra time. There has been quite a lot of snow in the region, he says.
It takes 30 seconds
Routes recommend
People in Oslo who have to get to work by public transport should also follow along, says Benjamin Øveraas, press officer at Ruter.
– Since it will continue to snow, it is conceivable that there may be some delays. I recommend those who are going to travel by public transport to follow any notices of deviations when they appear, says Øveraas to Dagbladet.
For now, traffic is flowing smoothly with only a few minor delays.
Road closed
A trailer has also come across the E6 southbound at Moss, the police report on Twitter.
The police have ordered a tow truck, and the traffic passes in one error.
In the Follotunnelen on the E6 in Viken, the left lane is closed with reduced speed due to the obstruction of a truck train.
– The traffic is directed via Kambo, writes Vegtrafikksentralen öst on Twitter.
The case is updated.
