On August 30, El Salvador closed with two homicides, as reported by the National Civil Police (PNC). One in Ahuachapán and another in La Paz.
On Friday night, the PNC reported a homicide scene in the Puente Arce hamlet, San Francisco Menéndez, Ahuachapán department.
According to preliminary information, a subject entered from the Guatemalan side, assaulted several sand pit workers at gunpoint and shot them.
Two workers were injured and were taken to Mazzini Hospital in Sonsonate, but one of them died on the way.
The other homicide occurred in Zacatecoluca, La Paz. However, the PNC did not provide further details about this incident.
