Frida won the Al Wathba Cup at Glen

Emerging filly ‘Frida B’ for owner, trainer Peter Dekkers and jockey Anne Van de Troost was crowned with the title at the Al Wathba Stallions Cup for emerging horses which was held at the Belgian Glen Monis track under the auspices of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan Racing Festival.
The organization of the festival falls within the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Court, contributes to the development of the horse racing industry in the world, supports efforts to preserve Arabian horses purebred, and encourages breeders to pay attention and care for them on various continents.
The race, with a prize money of 4,500 euros, was full of excitement and suspense between 9 horses, aged three and over, who competed over a distance of 1,500 metres, with an advantage of 9 lengths on “Bahee DI”, with a time of 1:42:41 minutes.
The festival is supported and sponsored by the Department of Culture and Tourism, Abu Dhabi Sports Council, National Archive and Library, Lead Partner, Mubadala, Official Partner, National Feed Strategic Partner, Emirates Airlines, by the official carrier, and Etisalat, the official partner, Yas, the General Union of Women, the Viola Company, the Emirates Association for Purebred Arabian Horses, the Emirates International Village for Ability and the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club.
