The 2510 Theater Group presents the Zoe and work of the legendary Frida Kahloof the Mexican painter who marked art with her intelligent and melancholic nature.
Frida Kahlo is perhaps one of the most recognizable female figures. Now, we see her face everywhere. But she remains virtually unknown. Through her paintings, the depiction of personal pain, physical and mental, seems to express the eternal traumas of the female journey.
Her disability and the way she responded to it, is a symbol of the way modern man must fight against the diverse “disability” imposed on him by systemic totalitarianism. Next to all this, her unconventional life, her pervasive eroticism and absolute love.
A shocking performance. A multifaceted experience. A journey through time but also a look at the present, as real Art is always contemporary and radical.
