“Frida Hansdotter Defeats Ex-Football Player in Champion of Champions Duel”

In the duel before the grand final – against ex-football player Kenneth Andersson – the former Olympic gold medalist in slalom dispatched the former long jumper Tornéus.

— Now it’s 1-1, so it’s nice. He won the “Champion of Champions” and I had to knock him out. But no, there has probably been more talk about that than Michel and I have put energy into it. But it’s clear that it’s fun that I got revenge, says Hansdotter.

She couldn’t really see Kenneth Andersson in the final from the beginning – but notes that he got stronger and stronger along the way.

— He was very versatile and clever, I thought it would be tough in the final.

Frida Hansdotter is most surprised that she made it all the way.

— I had a dream start, I had a great first week, then it was as if hope was lifted. It’s also a bit of fun considering that both Maria Pietilä Holmner and André Myhrer have won, it shows that we skiers are very versatile and good at many things.
