The fishing ban on Tsukihigai, a special product of Hioki City, Kagoshima Prefecture, has been lifted, and on the morning of the 2nd, the first catch of the season was carried out.
A bivalve with reddish-brown and cream-colored shells. Because of its color, it looks like the moon and the sun, and is called Tsukihigai.
Fishing has been lifted from this month off the coast of Fukiagehama in Hioki City, and about 500 kg was landed at the fishing port on the morning of the 2nd.

At the product store near the fishing port, freshly harvested moon shells were immediately lined up, and on the 2nd, they were sold for 100 yen per piece, which is 20 to 30% cheaper than usual.
