Madrid, Sep 19 (EFE) .- The unloading of fresh fish in Spanish ports was 117,809 tons between January and July, which represents a decrease of 6.49% compared to the same previous period, but in those of Las Palmas it has increased by 132.81%, going from 320 to 745 tons, according to Puertos del Estado.
That of Las Palmas has been the largest percentage increase and the unloading of fresh fish in the ports of Santa Cruz de Tenerife has also increased, by 32.64%, from 2,371 to 3,145 tons.
Of the 23 ports with fishing activity, a dozen registered decreases in volume, compared to the same period of the previous year, and 11 registered increases.
In percentage terms, the greatest reductions corresponded to discharges in Alicante (-52.93%) and Ferrol-San Cibrao (-45.51%).
On the contrary, the ports with the most important increases in this period were Las Palmas (+132.81%) and Cartagena (+34.48%).
In terms of volume, the port of Vigo was the one that registered the most fresh fish landings, with 36,626 tons, followed by A Coruña (22,327 tons).
