Frequently Leaks About Apple, China Gets a Warning Letter

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Apple seems to be starting to not stand the number of iPhone leaks in cyberspace. The company is said to have written to a number of rumor leakers asking not to share information about Apple products.

One of the letters was Kang, a leaker from China. He claimed to have received a letter from a law firm representing Apple, quoted by The Verge, Monday (28/6/2021).

In his post on Weibo, Kang claimed to have been warned not to share leaks about Apple products. The US tech giant is concerned that the leak will be exploited by competitors or if inaccurate it will mislead consumers.

The letter sent also contains screenshots or screenshots of his Weibo page as evidence. It contains leaks and complaints about Apple products.

Kang said he had never signed a confidentiality agreement, released confidential photos or even took shared information. Not to forget, Kang also reminded leakers and bloggers to be careful when sharing product rumors with the public.

At this time, Kang decided not to share any leaks or riddles about potential Apple products. In addition, he indicated that he would delete a number of posts and would be more careful about discussing iPhone and iPad manufacturers in the realm of social media.

Kang is known to be one of the top iPhone leakers in Apple Track. The site contains a comparison of the accuracy of the rumors shared by the leakers.

Kang has been known to have leaked information about Apple’s products and software in recent years, and most of it has been proven to be accurate. For example, before the iPhone 12 was launched, he had provided a leak regarding the price, color and launch schedule.

Kang also shared leaks about a number of devices before they were officially launched, namely the iPhone SE 2020, Apple Watch SE, Apple Watch Watch Sers 6, iPad 8, iPad Air 4 and Homepod mini.

This is not the first time Apple has issued a warning letter to Kang. Last year content creator and leaker Ben Geskin admitted to getting a similar warning.
