The Frenchman switched to the HSV wheelchair basketball team a year ago and is looking for a new challenge.
In the ranks of the BG Baskets Hamburg, Traore, who moved from the French Cs Meaux Basket Fauteui to the Elbe in July 2022, matured from the U23 national player to the A national player and was one of three players in the ranks of the HSV wheelchair basketball team, who has completed all 18 games in the 1st German wheelchair basketball league.
The development of the 20-year-old can also be seen in his first and last game for BG Baskets: Mamady scored five points in the home game against the Thuringia Bulls – on the last day of the game against the Rhine River Rhinos from Wiesbaden it was 30. Now he is leaving the people of Hamburg and is looking for a new challenge.
“I really enjoyed playing in this young team,” says Traore. “I was able to grow at HSV and am happy about my development in the ranks of the BG Baskets.” David Schulze, coordinator of the BG Baskets, says: “We would like to thank Mamady for his exemplary commitment, which he not only showed on the floor, but also demonstrated in our inclusion projects. We wish Mamady all the best for the future and keep our fingers crossed that he will be at the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris.”
