According to the newspaper Last hourmembers of the Paraguayan Volunteer Fire Department were trained in the International Emergency Intervention Course with Electric and Hybrid Vehicles, training directed by International Emergency Firefighters of France, PUI for its acronym in French, as well as specialists from the Renault Group of France .
It is a training in vehicular rescue maneuvers but with the emphasis on vehicles powered by alternative energy, whether electric or hybrid. The training will provide Paraguayan volunteers with techniques and strategies in the face of the risks inherent in new electromobility technologies. It is contemplated that after the course, the volunteers will be in charge of doing the same training to the different companies of the country.
This course cost G. 488 million, largely paid for by Itaipu Binacional and with donations from the organization, in addition to the support of the French Renault Group, the South American Football Confederation, the Paraguayan Olympic Committee and the Bourbon Hotel.
