This impressive premiere will be the first in a series of free shows that will bring to life the first day of the festival. The programming of this edition of the Teatro a Mil International Festival -presented by Fundación Teatro a Mil y Escondida | BHP- includes more than 100 shows from January 3 to 28 in halls, streets and squares from Antofagasta to Temuco.
The Teatro a Mil International Festival already has the shows ready that will mark the beginning of its 2024 edition. The first will be The tracersin which an exceptional tightrope walker will defy gravity by performing a choreography on a rope that will cross the Alameda starting from the Banco Estado building until reaching the building located at Paseo Bulnes 79.
The show can be seen by the public for free on Wednesday, January 3 from 11:00 to 11:45 in the morning, when the entire deployment of the festival will begin in 31 communes of the Metropolitan Region and another 12 in different places. from the country.
This production by choreographer Rachid Ouramdane stars Nathan Paulin, tightrope walker and holder of the record for the longest crossing, on a 2,240-meter highline on Mont Saint-Michel, France. During his performance, the artist will be accompanied by a sound creation by Jean-Baptiste Julien, in which we will be able to listen to Paulin’s testimony and thus learn about his feelings and thoughts when he is in the heights.
