French stocks close higher, CAC 40 index rises 0.71 percent

Paris (ANTARA) – French stocks closed higher on Friday (10/22/2021), erasing all of the previous day’s losses with the benchmark CAC 40 index on the Paris Stock Exchange rising 0.71 percent, or 47.52 points. , to settle at 6,733.69 points.

French multinational personal care company L’Oreal soared 5.08 percent, being the biggest profit maker (top gainer) from superior shares or blue chips.

It was followed by European commercial real estate firm Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield SE which rose 4.07 percent, and French multinational information technology consulting firm Capgemini rose 2.36 percent.

Meanwhile, the European multinational aerospace industry group Airbus suffered the most losses (top loser) among the leading stocks, with its share price cut 1.44 percent.
