According to a report by the Financial Associated Press on September 28, French startup Mistral AI recently announced its first generative artificial intelligence model to compete with leaders in the field of artificial intelligence in the United States, including Meta Platform Company and Microsoft-backed OpenAI.
The company said in a statement that it will release a “small” language model with 7 billion parameters that will be made available to developers for free.
Mistral AI CEO Arthur Mensch said in an interview: “Our training method makes us more efficient and reduces implementation costs by two times.”
