Press reports revealed that Frenchman Moussa Diaby, the star of the German team Bayer Leverkusen, rejected an attractive offer from the Saudi club Al-Nasr, in order to obtain his services, during the current summer transfer market, preferring to join Aston Villa, England.
According to the “Sky Sports” network, Moussa Diaby preferred Aston Villa’s offer to join Al-Nasr Saudi Arabia, although the latter’s offer was the best in terms of the material value of the deal.
Sky indicated that Aston Villa will pay 50 million euros, in addition to 10 million euros in incentives, to include the star of the Bayer Leverkusen team.
And Aston Villa succeeded during the current summer Mercato in signing Yuri Telemans in a free deal from Leicester City, in addition to Pau Torres, defender of the Spanish Villarreal team.
In another context, press reports revealed the existence of a conflict between the Saudi Al-Nasr Club and its citizen, Ittihad Jeddah, to include Gabriel Vega, the Brazilian Palmeiras player, during the summer transfer period.
Brazilian journalist Thiago Fernandez confirmed that Al-Nasr and Al-Ittihad are competing to sign Gabriel Vega, the Palmeiras player, saying: They inquired about Rafael Vega, but Palmeiras said that Rafael is not for sale.
He confirmed that the two Saudi teams are consulting with the 28-year-old midfielder, and Al-Nasr or Al-Ittihad have not yet estimated the value of the player, but they are considering making offers in an attempt to sign Rafael Vega, although Palmeiras does not intend to allow the player to leave.
