French rescue 80 migrants from two boats on Canal | Abroad

All those on board, including 20 children, were picked up by a naval vessel used for rescue operations and taken to the port of Calais. There they were handed over to the ambulance service and the aliens police for checks.

All on board are doing well, the authorities report. They warn once again that it is dangerous to cross the Channel in small boats. It is one of the busiest shipping routes in the world and often storms.
