“The region around Paris is once again the victim of a terrorist attack,” Castex said in a statement. Sources surrounding the investigation have told AFP news agency that the perpetrator would have called “Allahu akbar”. That means God is the greatest. The prosecution also said that the perpetrator may have said jihadist slogans during the attack, but that was previously denied.
The police anti-terrorist unit is investigating the incident. Castex previously tweeted that he sympathizes with the woman’s loved ones. “Our republic today is a heroine lost in a barbaric act.” The Prime Minister also visited the police station in Rambouillet, just outside Paris.
