“If the situation worsens, we will be ready to ensure that Russia never wins this war,” Macron said on French television, warning that anyone who advocates aid cuts to Ukraine is choosing defeat.
Macron also said that a Russian victory in Ukraine would “reduce Europe’s credibility to zero”.
According to Macron, the security of the continent is at stake in this war, which is existential for Europe and France.
Macron also did not rule out sending Western troops, but the current situation does not require it.
