French President Macron Strongly Condemns Israeli Shooting of Palestinian Civilians in Gaza Strip

President of France Emmanuel Macron strongly condemns and expresses deep anger over the murder of at least 112 residents Palestine during delivery of aid in Gaza Strip north.

“Deep anger at the images coming from Gaza of civilians being targeted by soldiers Israel,” Macron wrote on the social media platform X, as quoted by the news agency AFPFriday (1/3/2024).

“I convey the strongest condemnation of this shooting and call for truth, justice and respect for international law,” he added.

The French Foreign Ministry said “the shooting by the Israeli army against civilians trying to access the food is unjustified”.

“This tragic event occurred at a time when an increasing and unbearable number of Palestinian civilians are suffering from hunger and disease,” the ministry added, saying Israel must comply with international law and protect aid deliveries to civilians.

At least 112 Palestinian civilians were reported killed after Israeli soldiers opened fire on a crowd of residents who were trying to get aid in northern Gaza, on Thursday (29/02).
