The Head of State reaffirmed the objective of definitively phasing out coal by 2027. While he had confirmed the day before that he would give up banning gas boilers, he set the objective of producing “a million heat pumps” per year in the country by the end of his mandate in 2027, triple the current level.
He also recalled that public transport would be encouraged, with the launch of thirteen metropolitan RER lines, with State support of 700 million euros.
Furthermore, Emmanuel Macron praised a “French ecology”at a time “value creator”, “competitive”, “accessible and fair” and capable of “protect the French and nature”, the aim of this multi-year plan is to halve French greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 2030.
