45,000 people have been vaccinated against Covid-19 in France. The figure remains very low compared to our European neighbors. But Thursday, January 7, the Minister of Health, Olivier Véran, swept aside the criticisms and wanted to be reassuring: “We are doing everything to allow you to get vaccinated in good conditions”. The minister gave the campaign a boost: from Monday, January 18, French people over 75 who do not live in nursing homes will be able to be vaccinated.
These five million people will have to register by phone or on the Internet to make an appointment, but registrations are not yet open. The injections will be done in vaccination centers, certainly equipped gymnasiums. From Monday, January 11, 300 centers will be open in France, and 600 at the end of the month. Doctors and pharmacists will be called upon to vaccinate in these places.
