French national team striker, Anthony Martial, looks not welcoming hands Kylian Mbappe in fight 2022 World Cup qualifiers against Kazakhstan which took place at the Astana Stadium, Nur Sultan, Sunday (28/3) local time.
Martial is believed to be a core player. In the 4-2-3-1 formation applied by Didier Deschamps, Martial appeared as the spearhead.
In that match, Martial did not score a goal. The 25-year-old provided an assist for Ousmane Dembele and had a goal scoring opportunity that failed to be completed properly.
Martial was then pulled off in the 59th minute along with Antoine Griezmann who was replaced by Wissam Ben Yedder, and Paul Pogba who was replaced with Adrien Rabiot.
At the time of the series of substitutions, Martial was seen to be indifferent and did not welcome Mbappe’s helping hand who had already headed to the field.
This made Mbappe turn his head around a little bit for a moment.
Before being replaced by Mbappe, Martial received treatment after experiencing a knee problem.
With such conditions, it is possible that Martial will return to Old Trafford with an injury and cannot be played by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in the continued match of Man Utd.
Meanwhile, in the remainder of the match Kazakhstan vs France match, Mbappe failed to execute a penalty in the 75th minute. The ball he kicks towards the lower left can be read by the aging Kazakhstan goalkeeper, Aleksandr Mokin.
France won 2-0 and now leads the European zone Group D World Cup Qualification standings with four points. The Rooster team is two points ahead of Finland and Ukraine.
