No French racer has yet to win the race MotoGP of Le Mans. Rider Petronas SRT Fabio Quartararo chance to be the first this weekend.
Quartararo will start the race French MotoGP from the first grid after taking pole in qualifying on Saturday (10/10/2020). The 21-year-old rider packed a time of 1 minute 31.315 seconds, 0.222 seconds ahead of Pramac racer Jack Miller and 0.359 seconds from Danilo Petrucci who rode a factory Ducati motorcycle.
Starting from the pole position is clearly in favor of Quartararo who is determined to maintain the top of the MotoGP standings. Quartararo is currently in the top rank with 108 points, eight points away from his closest rival Joan Mir.
Besides that a nicks await Quartararo. The racer has the nickname The devil it has a great opportunity to break the fast victory of the French rider at Le Mans. The last time the French racer won the race was Louis Rossi when he won the Moto3 class in 2012, but none of the home riders were able to win the premier class.
However, Quartararo chose to race more carefully. Quartararo is reluctant to repeat last year’s results when he finished eighth due to being too eager to appear in front of the public himself.
“Racing at Le Mans no longer gives me more motivation, because in the past when I was too motivated I made a lot of mistakes,” Quartararo said at Tuttomotoriweb.
“I know a French racer hasn’t won a race at Le Mans in years, but I don’t think about those statistics. I just want to enjoy racing.”
Quartararo believes Ducati will be his toughest competitor in the race. A good start will be the key for him.
“I will finish concentrating on starting to slide in front of everyone. I know the Ducati riders have a good start but I will try to get through the first sector well. I have really good speed to compete for the podium and the victory. this and stay calm, “he added Quartararo stare French MotoGP.
