Jakarta, CNN Indonesia

Pramac Ducati rider Johann Zarco emerged as the fastest in the second free test session (FP2) French MotoGP at the Bugatti Circuit, Friday (14/5).

Zarco took the position of the fastest racer at the last moment. While the veteran racer, Valentino Rossi managed to end FP2 by occupying the ninth position.

This session started with Quartararo who immediately shot since FP2 started. El Diablo made it past Aleix Espargaro’s time to take the top spot.

Quartararo continues to dominate. The position of the fastest racer continued to be occupied by the French racer until nearing the end of the second free test session.

Despite his slick performance, Quartararo fell at corner three of the Bugatti Circuit. He is one of five riders, namely Aleix Espargaro, Pecco Bagnaia, Jack Miller and Joan Mir, who have suffered a similar fate.

Bagnaia and Espargaro also fell at turn three. Aleix even fell twice in the same corner. Meanwhile, Miller slipped when he entered at corner seven.

Quartararo was followed by Takaaki Nakagami in the position of the racer with the best time record. However, Nakagami’s position was shifted by Quartararo’s teammate, Maverick Vinales, entering the last 10 minutes of FP2.

In the last five minutes, the competition for the best position is getting fierce. Pramac Ducati rider Johann Zarco raced to take second place behind Quartararo.

Entering the last lap, Zarco was getting faster to take the position of the fastest racer. He outperformed two Yamaha riders, Quartararo and Vinales.
