After a two-week stay in Capbreton, the Bleues made a short stop at the Maison du handball (Créteil) this weekend before flying off to Norway on Monday morning. On the program, a third and final week of training in northern Europe. After a stopover in Oslo, the Olympic champions will take the direction of Bodo where they will play a meeting on Saturday against the selection which won the 2021 World Cup and Euro 2022. Thursday, joint training is also planned. A time of work of course, also a fraternal moment between two staffs and two selections who appreciate each other, to the point of sharing to confront each other regularly outside international competitions. For Les Bleues, this week in Norway is also the hors d’oeuvre of the next World Cup with the preliminary round in Stavanger then the probable sequence for the main round in Trondheim.
At eighteen
In the Landes, the coach and his staff took advantage of the two weeks of training with a view to preparing for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. “We have worked well with players who have arrived on training with a capital of personalized sessions”, appreciates Olivier Krumbholz. The rhythm of three training sessions and a 1/2 day of rest animated the recovery program. Of the 20 players training at Capbreton, only Clarisse Mairot (coach’s choice) and Cléopatre Darleux, as planned, will not be on the trip. “Cléo has worked well. She will now continue in continuity with her club, reports the coach. We hope for the resumption of handball in the coming weeks. »
