Chambéry and Paris in eighths

This Tuesday took place the first round of 16 of the 2023/2024 French Handball Cup. At home, Chambéry had no difficulty eliminating Billière and qualifying for the round of 16. Leading 19-12 at the break, the Savoyards then widened the gap to finally win 38-26. Paris had more difficulty but still won against Frontignan 42-38. In the other results of the evening, Saran Loiret beat Cournon d’Auvergne (36-30), Cesson Rennes narrowly escaped against Istres (28-27), Limoges dominated Besançon (39-31) and Créteil defeated Valence (32-26).
