French Government Condemns ‘Unacceptable Violence’ in Protest Against Police Brutality, Riots Erupt in Paris

The French government condemned the “unacceptable violence” during a protest against police brutality organized by the far-right, with officers trapped in their police car after it was attacked, an AFP correspondent said.

The nationwide protest took place just under three months after the point-blank killing of a young man outside Paris during a roadside inspection, sparking more than a week of unrest in Paris and other cities.
