French international footballer Wissam Ben Yedder, from Monaco, has been the subject of a complaint for alleged rape, the Nice Public Prosecutor’s Office said today, in a case that will have taken place on Monday in Beausoleil.
Xavier Bonhomme, Nice prosecutor, confirmed the existence of “two rape complaints, with two victims, which target two people”, one of them being the 32-year-old Monaco striker, while the other target has not been identified.
According to the French press, the complaints were made by two young women aged 19 and 20, who allege that they were “forced to perform sexual acts”.
“Monaco has taken note of the information published today regarding Wissam Ben Yedder. As the case is subject to legal proceedings, the club is not in a position to comment,” the Monegasque club said in a statement.
