Stade Rennais: towards a record start for Doku?
Big winner of the last day of L1 (4th) with the Europa League on the horizon, Stade Rennais will remain attractive and will have the means to improve its workforce in the transfer window. The Breton club wants to maintain its strengths and also knows that its assets will be courted. Like Jérémy Doku, who left behind his physical glitches, becoming more decisive (6 goals) and well oriented towards the collective over the second part of the season. If Rennes is not a seller, the Belgian international winger has two years left on his contract, and after three seasons in Brittany, he could take off. “His explosive and strong profile in the one-on-one is very interesting for this championship”, observes a Premier League club scout in L’Équipe. Anderlecht had sold it for 26 M€ in 2019 to Rennes, which seems to value it well beyond 50 M€. A possible transfer could exceed Rennes’ records in this area, Aguerd (€35m), O. Dembélé (€35m) or Camavinga (€31m, possibly €45m with bonuses).
RC Strasbourg: a workforce turned upside down this summer?
Staying in L1 will allow the RCSA to welcome a new investor. In search of a powerful partner to advance his club, Marc Keller notably negotiates with certain shareholders of Chelsea. These should allow the club to move into a new financial dimension. At what maturity and with what level of investment? That’s the whole question. In any case, L’Équipe announces that the squad will be turned upside down with players at the end of their contract, defenders Alexander Djiku and Maxime Le Marchand, midfielder Dimitri Liénard and striker Kevin Gameiro (who should not extend) , expected sales (H. Diallo, Bellegarde, I. Sissoko) and end of loans (Sanson, Dagba, Suzuki). Loïc Désiré, the director of recruitment who has been in Brazil for the past few days, has a job to do. The budget he will have for transfers should not explode compared to previous seasons.
Girondins: massive exodus to Bordeaux?
If Bordeaux has already finalized the arrival of midfielder Yohan Cassubie (22), at the end of his contract in Niort, all the other files – on the arrivals side – have for the moment been put on stand-by, while other elements , free, had been approached. On the other hand, it will be necessary to monitor the possible departures which could take place in the coming weeks in order to meet the commitments made to the DNCG. According to L’Équipe, several elements arouse envy, in particular the three players with the highest market value of the club. Winger Dilane Bakwa (20) has two concrete leads in Germany. Sevilla FC and two Italian clubs have inquired about the departure conditions of central defender Junior Mwanga (20). The side Malcom Bokele (23 years old, 2027) has a few tracks in L1. Brazilian midfielder Fransergio (32) wants to return to the country for personal reasons, while midfielder Danylo Ignatenko (26) will not be retained in the event of a satisfactory proposal (Belgium?). Bordeaux also wants to part with Alberth Elis and Rémi Oudin, back from loan from Brest and Lecce. Josh Maja (24) will find himself free if Bordeaux stays in L2.
AS Monaco: the priorities are known
AS Monaco is preparing a palace revolution this summer. According to L’Équipe, the new cycle will go through the recruitment of a starting goalkeeper, the two-year loan of Alexander Nübel (Bayern) coming to an end, and the signing of two central defenders to fill in the departures of Disasi and Malang Sarr (return of loan). In the middle, it will take a replacement for Fofana and a side player who can play on the right, where no one has convinced this season.
Stade de Reims: Teuma in Reims rather than Rennes?
Announced with insistence in the ranks of Stade Rennais, Teddy Teuma should rather sign at Stade de Reims. Laurent Frétigné, journalist for Ouest France, ruled out his arrival in Brittany. As well as that of Orkun Kökçü, appreciated by the Breton club but which cost too much (45 M€).
