The 23-year-old Nice defender was filmed laughing during a minute of silence for the victims of the ongoing war between the Palestinian Hamas movement and Israel.
The minute of silence that preceded France’s 2-1 victory over the Netherlands on Friday in Amsterdam was in honor of a teacher who was killed last week in the city of Arras in northern France in a crime that the government classified as an Islamic terrorist attack.
On Monday, the Ethics Council of the French Football Federation sent a letter to Todibo demanding clarifications, according to what its president, Patrick Anton, told AFP.
Todibo is in the squad that will face Scotland on Tuesday in a friendly match in Lille.
