French international defender Benjamin Pavard has officially joined Italian Inter, the European runner-up last season, after four seasons with Bayern Munich, the German soccer champion.
Inter did not disclose the duration of the contract, but the media indicated that the Italian club would spend 30 million euros to obtain the services of the 27-year-old defender, knowing that the amount could reach 32 million according to the results of the “Nerazzurri”.
Inter said in a statement after signing the 2018 World Cup champion: “Benjamin Pavard is an Inter player.”
Pavard arrived in Milan and passed a routine medical, before his move was formalized.
Pavard, whose contract with Bayern Munich expires in June 2024, expressed his desire to discover another championship, after spending seven years in Germany, where he played with Stuttgart from 2016 to 2019, then Bayern Munich for four years, during which he won four league titles with him.
