French Cup. Versailles still does not have a stadium to host Nice

This Monday evening, FC Versailles 78 had still not validated the stadium which will allow it to host OGC Nice in the semi-finals.

After the vanished dream of being able to host OGC Nice at the Parc des Princes, FC Versailles 78 is still waiting for the stadium it will be able to use in the semi-finals of the Coupe de France. The French Football Federation has granted a 24-hour deadline to the Yvelines club, which will nevertheless give its choice this Tuesday.

The ideal would be the Charléty stadium but, according to our colleagues from Parisian, the cost of the enclosure where Paris FC (Ligue 2) plays would be too high. It would indeed be necessary to count more than 100,000 euros for the rental and the organization. However, FC Versailles 78 is afraid of not filling the stadium and its 20,000 seats. The other T1 approved stadium, the Dominique-Duvauchelle stadium in Créteil, would not be a preferred option.

Another solution could be found in Oise with the Pierre-Brisson stadium in Beauvais. Approved T1, its lighting is however in E4. Which is not unacceptable. Its capacity is 10,000 seats and it is located north of Paris, barely a hundred kilometers from Versailles.

The date of the game (1is or March 2) has not been fixed either, even if France Télévision would have chosen to broadcast Nantes-Monaco on Wednesday March 2. We will be fixed during the day.
