Historic match for fans of FC Saint Cyr-Collonges at Mont d’Or, which is playing their first match in the 7th round of the Coupe de France in their history this Saturday. The stake is all the more important as the adversary which is on their way is the GF38.
For the players, this is the game of a lifetime. The residents of Régional 3 welcome the professionals of Ligue 2 from Grenoble: six divisions separate the two teams. Small thumb of the Auvergne Rhône-Alpes League, fans are delighted to face a high-level opponent.

At the time of the draw, the members of the club gathered in large numbers to discover all together their opponent. “The players, the volunteers, the managers were all happy! We know that this is a match that will remain etched forever in the history of the club ”, relates Clément Guillot, coach of FC St Cyr Collonges Mont d’Or.
This draw is a chance for amateurs to mingle with the professional world for a match. “For us who were still playing at the district level two years ago, it’s really a dream draw,” continues the coach.
An already successful Coupe de France
Whatever the outcome of the match, the Coupe de France of FC Sy Cyr is already a success. Until then, the club had never gone beyond the 5th round of the competition. Facing them, the Grenoble residents are currently in 9th in Ligue 2, 4 points from 5th place, synonymous with access to the dams for the rise in Ligue 1.
Relocated for the event in Craponne in the west of Lyon, the kick-off will be given at 2:00 p.m. this Saturday. The locals hope to gather 1,300 spectators around the field.
