Three of fall this Saturday for the clubs of National 2 with the eliminations of Chartres, Granville and Hyères vis-a-vis lower level clubs.
As we indicated in our presentation on Friday, it is rare that National 2 clubs are not eliminated as soon as they enter the competition in the fourth round of the Coupe de France. And they are three to have fallen this Saturday evening: Chartres, Granville and Hyères.
A few months after hosting Olympique de Marseille in the round of 16 at Louis-Dior, on January 17 (0-3), US Granville fell from entry to Flers (Regional 1) after a match stormy with three expulsions, a player on each side and the Granville coach Johan Gallon (84 ′). Led by two goals (31 ′, 63 ′), the Manche club regained hope (66 ′) before cracking at the end of the game (89 ′).
On his own ground, C’Chartres did not manage to let go of FC Montlouis (National 3) with two ties at the break (1-1) and at the end of regular time (2-2) with doubles from Persico ( Chartres) and Dugain (Montlouis). But the Indre-et-Loire club were better on penalties (5-4), thus eliminating the training coached by Jean-Pierre Papin.
Finally Hyères FC fell in Cannet-Rocheville (National 3). With three defeats in six league games, the players of Lilian Compan are not making the hoped-for start to the season.
#FCFUSG | ELIMINATED GRANVILLE
Huge disillusionment for the US Granville.
Congratulations to the @fcflers for their performance. We wish them to go very far and to experience, as we could, beautiful and great emotions in the most beautiful of competitions ????#AllezGranville pic.twitter.com/A1fpYmKmPP
