Like last year, French consumers will pay scrupulous attention to their purchases for the holidays (gifts, meals, decorations, etc.): 60% of them indicate that they are limiting their end-of-year spending taking into account inflation, according to a Yougov survey for the Havas Market agency. A figure similar to that of 2022 (59%).
What changes compared to last year is the intention to give small gifts – at a lower price – to please as many loved ones as possible, which concerns 44% of those questioned in 2023 compared to 38% in 2022.
