For an undisclosed price, the French injection molding and composites company Clayens NP (Genas / France) is acquiring its US competitor Parkway Products (Greenville, South Carolina / USA) with nine production sites and a 44,000 m² pharmaceutical and medical technology plant. Giant Cardinal Health (Dublin, Ohio / USA) in Crystal Lake, Illinois.

It is the first big step across the pond after the takeover by investor One Equity Partners last year. So far, Clayens has only operated a sales office near New York in the USA. The transaction, which still has to go through various approval processes, would bring Clayens sales to around EUR 600 million. The company alone has so far weighed in at EUR 395 million, with 24 plants primarily in Europe, North Africa and Mexico and a total of 3,400 employees.
